small moments (klein moment)

Dear friends, 

I am presenting a photographic installation entitled small moments in the built environment in Dublin city centre, 25 July 2026- 11 August 2026. The installation is situated at Eirden House, Belvedere Place, Dublin 1 and will be available for viewing 24/7 until the closing date. I will host a launch of this project on the 25 July 2026 at 3-5pm.

small moments (klein moment) is a collection of photographs taken in Ireland and Germany, and explores a feminist imagining of our built environment. The work investigates the framework of daily routines informed by our relationship with the material world. These photographs articulate the cinematic-like quality of pattern which we see at the periphery of our vision as we walk past a chain-link fence and an abandoned urban lot; a liminal window to what we experience as we move through the landscape of our lives. While we at once see and identify singular materials and objects, in that act of progressing through environments our awareness of bodily presence dissolves into the momentary and the abstract. While the photographs are of specific, identifiable architectures, the images however are strategically framed in such a way that the view is reconstructed as an exploration of line and form and shadow. 

This body of work was established and exhibited in 2023, for the group exhibition Zwischenräume at Neue Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst Gera, DE. The collection of images responded to the exhibition title which in English translates to 'in-between spaces'. This billboard display located in the Dublin city centre will mark the first viewing of these works to the public in Ireland.
