What is Leeside Collision?
Never been to a fighting game tournament before? No need to worry, all are welcome here! Bringing competitors and community together since 2022, Leeside Collision is Cork's local fighting game tournament and social meetup.
Each Leeside Collision brings together players from Cork, Munster and across Ireland for a full day of fighting games. You can enter a competitive tournament, play casual matches without anything on the line, watch the action, or come along and meet people with similar interests.
Competition is an important part of Leeside Collision, with experienced players and some of Ireland's strongest competitors regularly taking part, but you don't need to be an experienced player to join them.
First tournament? Just started playing? Haven't touched a fighting game in years? Coming on your own? That's all completely fine!
Doors open at 1pm, giving everyone time to arrive, meet people and get some practice in before tournaments begin starting at 2pm.
If you're new, come say hello! Ask someone for a game, ask for help learning the controls, watch a few tournament matches, or just hang out and get a feel for the community. Leeside Collision is an open social event as much as it is a competition and everyone is welcome.
Venue
The event takes place at the Middle Parish Community Centre , which is on Grattan Street and directly behind the Courthouse.
Competitors should bring a controller compatible with the console being used for any game they enter. Full tournament rules, game specific information and registration are available through our start.gg page linked above. You are required to sign up on that page if you wish to enter any tournament, but not if you just want to spectate.
You can also join the Leeside Collision Discord before the event to introduce yourself, ask questions, find people who play your game and keep up with future Leeside Collision events!
