About Christina Bennett

Born in Belfast, Bennett has lived most of her life in Shannon Co. Clare. Her artist-films confront experiences of conflict displacement, with the insights of both the artist and her community. Her still and moving image works, combine sound, with poetic narratives and participant voices, and are increasingly inspired by illusions of ordinariness, of living, of being in time, imagining and exploring how existences are experienced, remembered and understood.
