	ting artwork(s) for inclusion in a group exhibition at Ormston House from\

	mber at 6pm.\n\nMemory of a Free Festival is a touring exhibition and even
	t programme presented\nby Ormston House\, launching in spring of 2026. Our
	 project draws on and rejoins\nAnti-Nuclear festivals that took place annu
	ally in Carnsore Point\, Wexford on\nIreland’s south-east coast between 19
	78 and 1981. \n\nOrganised by a coalition of political and environmental a
	ctivists\, the\nnow-legendary festivals were attended by thousands unified
	 by a shared\nopposition to what would have been Ireland’s first nuclear p
	ower plant.\nUnprecedented in the cultural and political history of the na
	tion\, these\nfestivals were a testament to the potential of people power 
	and music as\ncatalysts for social change. \n\nFeaturing artworks by Orla 
	Barry\, Brian Duggan\, and Alanna O’Kelly\, Memory of a\nFree Festival lau
	nches with an event at Project Arts Centre\, Dublin in March\n2026. The ex
	hibition will open at Ormston House in April and move to Wexford\nArts Cen
	tre and Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre. Each iteration of the exhibition\n
	will be accompanied by site-responsive facets. This open call is for the\n
	Limerick iteration of the exhibition only.\n\nWho?\nArtists must be living
	 or working on the island of Ireland and must also be a\nmember of Ormston
	 House. We welcome submissions from artists working in any\nmedium and at

	ts can submit up to three existing artworks for consideration. Due to the\
	nspatial restrictions\, large-scale sculpture\, installations\, and enviro
	nments\ncannot be accepted. We welcome durational artforms\, events\, perf
	ormances\, and\nscreenings.\n\nWhile we are not prescriptive\, we are look
	ing for artworks that resonate with\nthe thematics\, concerns\, and resear
	ch underpinning this exhibition. Therefore\,\nwe encourage submissions tha
	t refer to particular themes. These could include\nbut are not restricted 
	to:\n\n * countercultural\, DIY\, and grassroots movements \n\n * art as a
